Purpose

Function to return the number of records in table, excluding deleted records and those not in the active filter


Syntax

ROWCOUNT([<workarea | alias>])

Description

The ROWCOUNT() function returns a number representing the total number of records in the currently selected table. This number excludes records that have been marked for deletion or do not match the active filter. If the optional <workarea | alias> is specified, then the function will operate in the required location.


Example

use accounts
? reccount()
      2500
delete first 10
? rowcount()
      2490
