Purpose

Function to calculate the average of element values in an array

Description

The AAVERAGE() function calculates the average of all the numeric elements in the specified <array> and returns the result.


Example

use payroll
declare number[reccount(),1]
copy to array number fields pay_value
? aaverage(number)
   1741.01
